Flexibility
Cheshire West & Chester Council needed a central, publicly available repository to store and distribute adult learning services information and resources.
They operate a provider based system meaning their adult learning provision is outsourced to multiple smaller providers.
These providers need access to resources, and policies and procedures; and learners need access to information about local providers.
The range of resources is regularly changing so there had to be rapid access to the content enabling in-house changes to documentation and information.
Simplicity
WordPress is the most widely-used web content management system. It provides a familiar environment and a straightforward way to keep information and resources up-to-date.
Alongside this staff are able to develop their own design and WordPress technical skills in a manageable way.
We take care of all the technical and security aspects and are always on hand to help with content management, accessibility and design advice when required.
KNOWLEDGE
We put together the content framework and example pages showing the kind of layout we would expect to see and staff were able to build upon this foundation.
The staff have been able to develop their own knowledge and skill-set and are able to put resources online themselves as they are produced.
